PostSubject: The Joy of Back Injuries...   Thu Aug 02, 2012 10:02 am

For those of you that I haven't told yet, I managed to hurt my back last week while I was at work... And for those of you that have never had a back injury, they really suck...

So now I am on light duty at work for at least a few days, and I can't really do much of anything in terms of lifting or any other strenous activities... Which seriously cuts into my hours... Evil or Very Mad

Basically, take care of your back, as well as the rest of your body... If you can work on your core muscles to help strengthen and support your back... there are allot of different ways to do this, so find the one that best fits you and your schedule... I know we all have pretty hectic schedules as of lately, but find the time to do some short excersises and stretches... In the end, it will save you the discomfort and the hassle of minor injuries, and help to prevent major injuries from occuring...

And of course, as always, when you go to pick something up, no matter how heavy it is, use your legs and not your back. Keep the load as centered as possible, and close to your body. And if it's to damn heavy for you, have somebody help you carry it, or find a tool or piece of equipment to help you...

Thats all for now... NOM NOM out...
